A customs guarantee is an irrevocable 100% but conditional guarantee that is issued in favor of the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in order to guarantee the obligations of import fees, duties and possible illegal actions related to temporary importation of goods into the country (to be processed, modified and turned into a value added product and re-exported) by the exporter. The Fund’s guarantee is valid from the date of temporary import of such intermediary goods or raw materials until the finished or modified goods are exported and their green export customs declaration is issued and handed over to the beneficiary and the Fund.
Who might apply?
Such a guarantee cover is available for all Iranian exporters of goods and services who enjoy a commercial Card from Iran’s chamber of commerce or other related chambers of commerce all over the country as a real or legal person and would wish to import raw materials and intermediary goods into the country and would re-export them in a certain period of time with a value added percent.
